Since the year Ukraine was proclaimed an independent state its state policy in the education sphere has been marked by consistent and purposeful development. The Ministry of Education, Science, Youth and Sports of Ukraine in cooperation with National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine conducts an active work on standardisation and updating of the educational system content.
Systematic changes taking place in this field have their aim in making the educational process more democratic and humanity-oriented. The present-day methodological reorientation is to provide the development of a student’s personality. The Ukrainian system of education integrates gradually into the European and global educational space.
